Submission Requirements for DELSU Journal of Communication and Media Studies Review
Submission Guidelines
- Articles should be original and not under consideration by any other publication.
- All contributions should be submitted via email: delsujcms@gmail.com
- Contributions should be submitted in English.
- Non-native English speakers should seek language editing prior to submission.
- Include biographical information (up to 80 words) on title page.

Additional Requirements:
- Obtain permission for any copyrighted illustrations and indicate sources in captions.
- Number all pages consecutively, including those with only diagrams and tables.
- Minimize use of figures and tables, presenting only essential data.
- Number and title all figures/tables consecutively, mentioning them in main text.
- Tables must contain editable text.
- Keep mathematical formulations to a minimum; avoid equation editors for simple expressions.
Submission Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors must check that their submissions comply with the following items. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to authors.
Author Guidelines
No Plagiarism
Articles must be original. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
Copyright Permissions
Authors responsible for securing permissions for copyrighted material.
Proper Attribution
Acknowledge all third-party sources appropriately.
Abstract Requirements:
- Should not exceed 200 words
- Include: brief introduction, background, research methods, results, implications, recommendations
- Include five keywords immediately after abstract
Word Limit:
Articles should not exceed 7,000 words, including:
- Abstract
- Acknowledgements
- References
An accurate word count should be included.

Headings Format:
Use three levels of headings:
- MAIN HEADLINE (Flush left, no numbering or full stops)
- Headline (Flush left, no numbering or full stops)
- Sub-headline (Flush left, no numbering or full stops)
Note: Headline length should not exceed ten words.
Citation and Referencing
References:
- All cited works must appear in references
- Exceptions: personal communications
- References typed on font size 11
Self-Citation:
Authors are advised to limit self-citation of previous studies to uphold the credibility of their paper.
